Privacy Policy

Steelplumb is operated by Reckoned Force LLC, a Colorado limited liability company (“Steelplumb,” “we,” “us”). This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, how we protect it, and how you control and delete it. It covers steelplumb.com and the Steelplumb application.

For account and billing data we are a controller. For the project, estimate, and job-cost data you and your team enter (“Customer Data”), and for data we retrieve from services you connect (such as QuickBooks), we act as a processor on your behalf and under your instruction.

Solely to provide, secure, support, and improve the service for you. We do not sell your data, we do not share it for advertising, and we do not use it to train machine-learning models. Any AI features operate on your organization’s own data to produce insights for you, not to build cross-customer models.

This section governs data accessed through a QuickBooks Online connection:

• We access QuickBooks data only after you expressly authorize the connection via Intuit’s OAuth flow, and only the data needed for job-costing features.
• We use it only to provide Steelplumb’s functionality (matching bills, payroll, and expenses to your budgets). We never sell it, never use it for marketing, and never use it for advertising.
• We do not export QuickBooks data to third parties. Sharing occurs only with subprocessors required to run the service (Section 6), on your explicit instruction, or where compelled by law.
• You can disconnect at any time from Settings. On disconnect we stop syncing and retire Intuit-derived data per Section 8, subject to legal retention.

We share data only with vendors required to operate Steelplumb: Cloudflare (hosting, database, file storage), our transactional email provider (sign-in links), Intuit (QuickBooks connection), and - if you enable it - our realtime provider. We have no advertising or data-broker partners. We disclose data if legally compelled, and will tell you unless prohibited.

You retain ownership of your Customer Data. Ownership does not transfer to us. You grant us only the limited license needed to host and process that data to deliver the service to you.

We retain Customer Data while your account is active. You may request export or deletion at any time by emailing privacy@steelplumb.com. We complete deletion within 30 days, except data we must retain to comply with law. Intuit-derived data is purged on disconnect or account deletion (subject to legal retention); routine backups age out on their normal cycle.

We use commercially reasonable safeguards: encryption in transit (TLS), encryption at rest, access controls on a least-privilege basis, and signed, short-lived session tokens. No system is perfectly secure, but we design for the standard Intuit and business customers expect, and we will notify affected customers of a material breach without undue delay.

You can access, correct, export, or delete your information. Most actions are available in-app; for anything else, contact privacy@steelplumb.com. We honor applicable U.S. state privacy rights, including the right to know and to delete. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under U.S. state privacy laws.

Steelplumb is a business tool, is not directed to children, and is not intended for anyone under 18.

We may update this policy; the “Last updated” date reflects the current version. Material changes will be communicated in-app or by email.
